| Q1 Can I just turn up and climb? | |
If you know what you are doing, you can fill in and sign a disclaimer form, then "Yes, you can !" However, if you don’t yet know what to do or consider yourself a complete novice, then you would need be signed in, supervised and taught by a climber who does. Alternatively you can pre-book one of our qualified staff for a "come and try" taster session. See below if you want to learn to climb on a beginners course. back |

| Q2 I’d like to learn how to climb. How do I go about it? | |
We run adult beginners courses. They cost £32 for the two hour class. We usually run them on Monday and Friday nights. You need to book in advance. |

| Q3 What about Alien 2? Can we just turn up? | |
Adults: Yes you can but you must sign a disclaimer at the desk before climbing The policy for under 18's at alien two is detailed here. back |

| Q4 What if I don’t have anyone to climb with? | |
We run a new climbers night on Thursdays for people just like you. We also have a women’s group that meet on a Monday night. You could also try the notice board where you can put an advert up or why not try climbfind? back |

| Q5 Can my kids just turn up and climb at Alien Rock 1? | |
If there is an adult, over 18, that knows what they are doing and is taking responsibility for them, then yes.( Maximum ratio, 2 Under 18's per adult) |

| Q6 Can you hire equipment? Harness, shoes, ropes? | |
Yes, you can hire a harness for £1.50 and shoes for £2.00. We do not hire out lead ropes. A deposit can be left for a belay device if you require one. back |

| Q7 Do you need to do an induction course? | |
If you know what you are doing then no, You do have to fill in and sign a disclaimer and answer a simple safety related question. If you don't know what you're doing you will need to do a beginners course or be signed in by someone who does know what they are doing. back |

| Q8 Do you do kids birthday parties? | |
Yes. We cater for groups of up to 6, 12 or 18. All the kids must be 8 or over. Each session lasts 1.5 hrs and includes instruction and all the equipment. The maximum ratio is six kids per instructor. See kids parties. back |

We do not, However you can buy an optional "White card" that gives you discounted entry and 10% off goods bought from the TISO shop within alien rock. back |

It all depends on how long it has been. It might be easier doing a beginner’s course just to be sure or hire an instructor for a 1 hour private instruction. If it is just a quick refresher then yes we can, however, if it is busy, you might have to wait. back |

Yes, we do. We run both monthly passes and yearly passes. We also offer a "White card" that gives you discounted entry and 10% off goods bought from the TISO shop within alien rock. back |

Yes, a parent or guardian can sign in 2 kids of any age, if they are a member. back |

| Q17 What if I don't want to climb but I'd like to bring my kid along ? | |
| If you know what you are doing, no problem, bring them along, we only charge for the child. Entry for adults who only belay is free. We also run a specific course (parent and child course) to teach you how to look after your child at the wall. back | |
