alien rock competitions

since our very first year of opening in 1994 alien rock has been running climbing competitions. our first comps being a series of leading comps in the winter of 1994/1995 attended by the likes of malcolm smith, dave cuthbertson, andy
gallacher, duncan macallum joanna george and our very own april marr to name but a few.we also provided a venue for the long finished but not forgotten vango bouldering league, hey we even took part ourselves, after a few years the upheaval cost and disruption of lead comps led us to develop our bouldering league which now consists of 4 rounds held between october and march each year. alien rock has also provided a venue since 1998 for the brycs junior competition, until 2006 when we felt unable to support it in it's present format. we do however run a league of three comps throughout the winter for those under 14.
