this is the place to hang out if your into the purity of yourself againt the rock/plastic. with 300m2 of wall and 100s of different routes there's plenty to keep even the keenest boulderer happy.

the walls are all upto 4.5m in height with a 400mm deep mat underneath to cushion your fall should that last slap for the final hold fail. however we will point out that even with a big mat present the chances of injury still remain quite high and it should never be relied upon.

before climbing everyone needs to sign in at the reception desk. under 18s must have parental consent and unless a member, must be supervised at all times.

there is warm air heating throughout the winter, in summer the large warehouse doors can be opened to keep the place cool. the sun spilling in can make the place feel quite outdoorsy. the sheltered aspect luckily means the rain stays out.

there is plenty of free parking outside the building as well as bike racks.

although buses don't stop outside the door they do stop within 200 yds or so. a number 11 stops closest on newhaven road with the 7,14 and 21 having stops on ferry road. Timetables can be found here at the lothian buses site.
